Hygiene Activities

Waste Water from all drainage are collecting to one tank and pumping to the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) constructed in the compound.  The treated clear water is used for cleaning purpose etc and became a continuous water recycling process. The waste remaining (solid & liquid) from the water treatment is used as manure for Farming.  

WASTE DISPOSAL AND MANAGEMENT - INCINERATOR
An incinerator is functioning in the compound round the clock. All burnable/flammable waste are put into the Incinerator and burned into ash. The remaining  (ash) is used as manure in our Agricultural activities.
 
MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT
For removing and managing medical waste from our homes we have registered our Centre with IMAGE (Indian Medical Association Goes Eco-friendly), a Medical Waste Managing programme introduced by Indian Medical Association  throughout Kerala. Their staff are collecting the waste periodically for collective Management at their disposal. A monthly fees is charging from every registered centre in addition to initial Registration Fee.
 
BIO GAS PLANT
A Bio-Gas Plant is functioning in the Compound.  Vegetable waste and other decomposing waste are used for the Bio-Gas production. The Gas is used for Cooking.  
 
CLEANING AND WASHING
Laundry Machine
An Electric Laundry Machine is functioning in the premises to wash out cloths of every inmate in the home. This is a heavy duty machine to perform properly.
 
Cloth Dryer
All the washed cloths of the inmates are completely drying with the Electric Drier in view of getting more hygienic.

Cloth Pressing Machine
The washed and dried cloths are pressed in the Heavy Duty Electric Pressing Machine and become more hygienic
