Under the aegis of Gandhibhavan, a Study Centre has been inaugurated by Adv K. Raju Hon’ble Minister for Forests on 02 January 2018. In his inaugural speech, the minister said that lacking job skill has now emerged as a big challenge for our youths. He added, despite our State is the forerunner in academic achievements our youths are far behind in technically skilled jobs. Vocational studies provide job skills and technical knowledge to the students from the weaker section of the society, and thus this new step initiated by Gandhibhavan has once again proved their social responsibility to build a nation without poverty dreamt of by Mahatma Gandhi.
During the function, the Minister distributed the financial aid of Rs 30,000/- each provided by British Malayalee Charity Foundation to 100 nursing students. Veteran Teacher Thiruvinnal Kunjan Pillai has been felicitated during the programme. Sri. Kovoor Kunjumon MLA presided over the event. Member of British Malayalee Charity Foundation Sri. Shajan Scaria briefed about the charity activities undertaken by the foundation. Member of Women Commission Smt. Shahida Kamal inaugurated the courses being conducting in the Study Centre.
