Trodden Paths

Started in 2002, November, the organisation has done a lot for the ‘social good’ and upliftment of the poor. Several Seminars expressing reaction against social evils, free eye camps, helping hands through medical treatments for the poor, nature clubs and studies, awareness programmes etc were aiso conducted.‘Gandhibhavan – Snehabhavanam’ started its functioning in a rented house byadmitting ‘homeless’ Parukutty Amma, an 85 year old senior citizen on behalf of Gandhibhavan for ‘caring the aged’.

The Police, Political leaders, Social workers, etc started bringing the aged, mentally retarded, insanes, patients etc to the Snehabhavanam, a nest for the aged.

As the number of the members increased tremendously, the organisation found it difficult to meet its both ends. Needs arose in the form of accommodation, rent charges, phone charges, electricity,  nurses, doctors and other assistants, food facilities, beds, clothes, treatment and others.
