Nuclear war, ecological disaster, economic chaos, degradation of social & individual values and lack of proper guidance or direction, all loom large on the horizon. The fate of mankind however is last of our worries. We may be more concerned with what and where we will be in the next 10, 20 or 30 years from now. The selfish & self-centered attitude of the generation blindfolded their eyes towards the sufferings and miseries of our own fellowmen in the society. No one has time to dedicate to their cause. A friendly smile, a supporting hand, an affirmative thought, a humanitarian concern and a minute second of ours will be a great solace &rejuvenating MANNA for their life.
It is with these objectives in mind, Gandibhavan – A HOME FOR THE ABANDONED & THE DESTITUES was born. We extend our hands of support to embrace & help all the ailing and the weaker sections of the society. The Gandibhavan Snehagram stays at Kundayam, a beautiful place 2.5km away from Pathanapuram in KollamDistrict.
We have a committed team of around 40 social workers & Volunteers from all spheres of the society who wish to think and act differently to rekindle the life of the downtrodden. To enhance and equip them for life is what we work for in our firm vision of TRUTH, PEACE & EDUCATION. A unique unity of people who love to bean instrument of peace , love, pardon, faith, hope, light and joy to hatred,injury, doubt, despair, darkness and sadness stricken people from all walks of life together forms The Gandibhavan Snehagramam - A HOME FOR THE ABANDONED& THE DESTITUTES.
Snehagramam has above 350 inmates of different age groups and gender. We spread the message of love, peace & unity and live in harmony as a single family with concern and care for each other. We accept & nurture everyone rebuke our home irrespective of religion, caste, creed, social status and financial background
